adult literature. We curate a highly selective list of books we enthusiastically recommend \u2014 our Honor Roll \u2014 aimed to help readers and gatekeepers of all kinds find the right book for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The website was founded in 2013 and ran for several years as a highly successful blog. We&#8217;re still proud to host the archives of this blog, which contained articles, reviews, interviews, and discussions examining disability representation from various angles \u2014 and always from the disabled perspective. A thoughtful portrayal of disability requires more than memorizing a list of symptoms; we hope that sharing disabled people\u2019s thoughts on stereotypes, pet peeves, particular portrayals, and their own day-to-day experiences will help our readers learn about the realities of disability, which are often different from what we see in popular media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2018, the website went on indefinite hiatus. In 2021, we redesigned and relaunched the website, this time shifting our focus to the Honor Roll.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to our Honor Roll and blog archives, we maintain a Goodreads account that&#8217;s intended to act as a useful resource.
